Cotopaxi on Laguna Verde
The landscape of Laguna Verde with the additional photoshop composition of the mysterious ghost ship 'Cotopaxi'. This ship has a long history shrouded in legend. It's been located in the Gobi dessert (see link). Also linked to the legend of the Bermuda Triangle. So I thought it fitting to continue with the legend.
The Cotopaxi is the wreck of the Captain Leonidas near the English Narrows in the chilenian Fjords. The Channel is called Messier Canal. Next town is Puerto Eden, only accessible by ship or helicopter. Picture taken from the the Navimag.
Capitan Leonidas MV went aground on rocks in 1963 in the when the captain tried to sink it to claim insurance. The ´sinking´went wrong and he eventually went to prison and lost his captains licence for life.
